In New York, the product offered is Protective Investors Benefit Advisory NY Variable Annuity*.
We are excited to announce that on July 10, 2023, we are increasing withdrawal rates of the SecurePay ProSM benefit available in the Protective® Investors Benefit Advisory variable annuity.

SecurePay Pro benefit withdrawal rate increases


SecurePay Pro benefit withdrawal rates will increase by 1.50% at all ages, for non-New York contracts. For Protective Investors Benefit Advisory NY variable annuity contracts, the current withdrawal rates will remain in effect.

Transition rules


Protective will be increasing the withdrawal rates for SecurePay Pro benefit available on Protective Investors Benefit Advisory variable annuity for new sales effective of July 10, 2023.

  • Tickets/Applications dated July 9, 2023 or earlier and received in good order will be issued with the current withdrawal rates:
    • Cash/Applications/Any 1035 exchange paperwork related to these new tickets/applications must be received no later than July 24, 2023 (10 business days from effective date).
  • Previously submitted Annuity tickets/applications that are awaiting funding from 1035 exchanges and/or Not In Good Order (NIGO) items will continue to be processed through existing procedures.
  • Tickets/Applications for the Protective Investors Benefit Advisory variable annuity dated July 10, 2023 and after will be accepted and issued with the new withdrawal rates.
