Iowa indexed product training requirements
Iowa requires producers who want to sell any indexed insurance products (life or annuity) to complete the one-time Iowa Indexed Product Training course with at least four credits, prior to soliciting or selling these products. This requirement applies to resident and nonresident insurance producers.

Update to cross-border sales rules
Protective wants to make sure you stay informed and compliant regarding rules and regulations within our industry. Effective April 11, we are not able to accept applications for non-resident (aka, cross-border) sales to residents of Minnesota, Mississippi and Utah. This may affect the processing of your submitted business with us.

As a reminder, Protective can only accept or service applications from applicants who speak and read either English or Spanish. Spanish-speaking applicants and Spanish applications must go through our Tele life process.

Operational changes to backdating rules
State regulation update: Ohio recently changed their backdate application to save age rules from 3 months to 6 months. This aligns with most other states and provides customers a better chance to lock in premium rates at a lower amount.
