Help accelerate the claims process by providing beneficiary SSN and DOB during application
June 28, 2022

When submitting a life insurance application with Protective, it is best practice to provide the beneficiary’s Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth (DOB). Obtaining the beneficiary SSN and DOB during application results in faster claim servicing and verification for our beneficiary clients, and helps you fulfill Know Your Customer and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.

Protective’s Beneficiary Designations Reference Guide states that Protective is required to obtain the full name of the beneficiary, as well as important identifying information about the beneficiary, including their relationship to the insured, birth date, address, SSN or Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) if the beneficiary is a business or trust.

Thank you for helping us obtain this important information to help provide excellent customer service for you and your clients.
