We strive to make our best offer first and we utilize a data-driven approach to find responsible ways to say 'yes' more often. To that end, we're pleased to announce the following updates to our age and amount APS guidelines, which recently took effect.

We are able to make more effective use of emerging digital health data that have enabled us to reduce APS orders done only for age and amount purposes. Through this innovative approach, we:

• Eliminated ALL age and amount APS requirements through age 49 for face amounts through $1,000,000.
• Liberalized the age and timeframe parameters over age 49 and above $1,000,000.
• Will not require an APS in other situations where we can leverage sufficient digital health data such as Rx, medical claims data or clinical lab data.
• Will always utilize electronic medical records wherever possible when we do require medical records.

We will still order medical records as necessary to underwrite the risk for any case. However, when we do require medical records, we will always utilize electronic medical records whenever possible.

The bottom line for you is quicker turnaround time, possibly less hassle for you and your clients, and the potential for more placed business with Protective!
